Project Runway: Challenge One

Description

I guess in a certain way, it IS fashion design, yet not at the same time... ah well..

Yes. Tea Jax isn't a very creative designer. XD

Anyways, first entry for :iconprojectrunway:~ owo What stinks is that I think life's starting to catch up with me, so my art may be heavily affected... *blasted life, I'll outrun you again! D< Just you wait!*

ANYWAYS... Explanation time.

I. Accessories:
~Glasses (because I love my glasses. I look terrible without them, and I feel more in tune with my 'intellectual' and 'video gamer' side at the same time. They're black because)
~Glove (signifies my affinity for fighting and my violent tendencies. At the same time, it's also a 'gamer glove' so more video game  for me. However, it's got a dark meaning, and therefore I chose darker colors for it.)
~Hair ties (I like having hair ties on my wrist, even though they leave a pretty deep mark on them since they're pretty tight. It's more for convenience sake rather than fashion. In a way, it's a bit girly, so one hair tie is magenta while the other is dark blue as technically, I'm killing my circulation with it)

II. Clothes- Upper body:
~Pale blue collared shirt (While I am a very carefree, eccentric spirit, I actually prefer collared shirts for their highly sophisticated air and that they look good with one solid color. I'm a plain person, so I actually like plain clothing, but occasionally, I like some pretty interesting and detailed clothes as well. I just normally don't wear them. The fact that they don't cover my forearm is because I don't like them getting in the way, and they sort of puff near the elbow area because it's old-fashioned and I'm really not that up-to-date anyways)
~Vest (going with the slightly formal look, the button overall part sort of clashes [as I am actually a very clash-y character as I am childish, and children are sometimes seen wearing overalls], but it still gives the clean-cut air I guess. The buttons are yellow to compliment the purple simple because it's opposites. If you look closely, there are actually really small areas of color that clash, which signifies the hidden me that's pretty colorful, whereas the me I normally show others is rather staid and serious. And really, I just like vests.)
~Tie (I love ties, too, and it goes with the 'formal' ensemble. It's plain and green, which completes the cold colors, but at the same time, there are traces of the warm colors hidden [You just gotta find them]. There's nothing really significant about them, aside from that I guess this signifies my desire to be an adult, while at the same time trying not to be one due to the tiny clashes of colors.)

III. Clothes- Lower Body:
~Belt (Nothing to special about the belt, it's just there to provide more contrast between the light silvery-blue buckle with the dark orangish-brown belt part.)
~Chain (actually, this chain is a pocket watch chain. I love pocket watches as they're an old-fashioned source of punctuality, which means I like to be on time, but I have trouble keeping time as pocket watches are little less convenient than wrist watches.)
~Pants (Now, it must seem weird to see yellow and black, but I must say, this is actually a tribute to my high school. While I may complain about it, I truly enjoy high school and the challenges and memories it provides me with. So, my jean pants are colored of my school's colors- excluding white. Anyways, fact that the pants are casual rather than formal allows it to clash with the upper body clothing in a way to say that I can be mature yet at the same time, not. In a way, I'm pretty contradicting. It's a bother. XD That's also why the pants don't go all the way down to my ankles. They're capris that are a bit too long, which signifies my slightly demented fashion sense. XD They kind of remind me of running pants, though... I like running.)

IV. Clothes- Feet:
~Socks (Enter a sort of new trend: punk maybe? I love knee socks, especially stripped ones. They make me happy. Purple and black seemed like a good combination for socks [Actually, it's mostly because I have socks like that] so I went with it.)
~Boot shoes (actually, I'm more comfortable with sneakers, but the feet shape of the template really didn't allow for sneakers, so I went with boots. I like boots, too, and I've never worn them, so I can't say they're not comfortable, too. Anyways, they're a dark maroon/brown because I like that color for boots. I like button-ups because they sort of give me a sense of closure, I guess. Zippers are cool, too, but buttons are fun [Even if they take more time]. The buttons and ankle accessories of the shoes are a dark green to minimize contrast, but still provide some for my 'two-sided' personality. The weird accessory part of the shoes are just there to make me happy. XD)

Overall: As I am a very eccentric person, I sort of enjoy having a whole 'cacophony' of clothing styles, even if they don't really match, and I like to hide how I normally act behind a serious mask. My hobbies aren't so easily expressed due to my habit of hiding, and because of that, people are normally shocked to hear of my hobbies.

This is an outfit I'd wear in the warming weather. I really wish it was warmer these days...

Uh.. right.. owo I'll add more, maybe?
